SceneManager v1.1
The response to my SceneManager (originally shared late Dec 2023) has been truly wonderful. The gist is that it lets you load, transition, and pass data between scenes with a single line of code. It's a tool I wanted for my projects because this is something I do often and wanted an easy way to do it.
So I figured, why not share it with you all 🙃
First of all, thank you so much for your feedback and comments (most on YouTube, which is fine) and donations (mostly here). It all means so much to me, really. I do this to be able to help you and grow in the process.
The main bit of feedback I got from the community was for more control over where things are loaded into the SceneTree. Well, wish granted... along with some refactoring and some other small updates. Attached is the updated version. As much has changed, I suggest watching the video if you intend to switch over to the new one. I've also heavily documented this one using Godot's auto-documentation, so you're also welcome to download the project and pick through my notes.
Here's a link to the video that just went up this morning.
Again, thank you all so so very much for the donations. As someone who has been in the games industry as long as I have, I know how hard it can be to get people to pay for anything, let alone something that's FREE. Far more than the actual money, every time someone chooses to buy this thing the warmth and kindness of the gesture overwhelms me. ❤️🙏Happy coding! If you need any help, you know where to find me.
